Language is a universal tool that everybody in the world can utilize. In this day and age, language is slowly becoming more and more deteriorated because of technology. Technology can serve as another form of language throughout texting, emoticons, and social media posts. In the past, language was so much more prominent than it is now because of the barrier that it played in communications. There are over 6,500 spoken languages in the world today, but we are lucky that we have translators to convert the language between one culture and another. Hundreds of years ago, there was no Google Translate or courses that people can take to learn a different language. Now, we live in a world where we can communicate with each other globally, which was a huge challenge in the past. This is a really amazing development because in the past, trying to communicate with foreign countries was almost impossible. If you were lucky, there was maybe one or two good translators in your village, but if you didn’t have one in your village, you were really unlucky. Language helps us to communicate easily to each other and it serves as the best tool in the world today.
The bad thing about language is that not everyone can experience it. There are very unlucky people who are born deaf and they cannot experience language like most people can. I think that in the future, there will be more people dedicated to sign language and there will be more advanced ways of communication.
